J-Cut 9187
Low Viscosity Cutting Oil

Description

J-Cut 9187 was specifically developed for Swiss type high performance screw machines. The low viscosity of J-Cut 9187 allows it to effectively penetrate between the tool and work piece interface providing excellent surface finishes and tool life. This product is extremely high performance and is easily capable of performing gun drilling and form tapping on stainless as well as carbon steel. Experience has shown that an extremely high additive content is required to provide the surface finish and tool life required on these difficult operations. In the past this has only been accomplished by the addition of sump additives and tap ease. This product has been augmented with additional performance additives that will eliminate that practice.

Performance Benefits
  • High additive content eliminates the need for tank-side additives such as tap ease.
  • Multi-metal capabilities – Does not stain aluminum, copper, brass or bronze.
  • Excellent performance on hard and soft metals.
  • High flash point, good oxidation stability and high viscosity index.

Recommended Applications

Designed for use in Swiss type screw machines however due to the high levels
of additives it also finds uses in drawing and stamping operations.
